National Electrotechnical Training (NET)
Excellence in Electrotechnical Competence Assessment
College of London is an approved NET assessment centre, supporting the assessment of occupational competence within the electrotechnical industry.
NET develops and manages nationally recognised assessments designed to ensure electricians demonstrate the practical skills, technical knowledge and professional competence required by the industry.
Our assessment provision includes:
- AM2 – Assessment of Occupational Competence
- AM2S – End-Point Assessment for Electrotechnical Apprentices
- AM2E – Experienced Worker Assessment
- AM2D – Domestic Electrician Assessment
Through these assessments, College of London supports apprentices and experienced electricians in demonstrating their competence and progressing towards professional recognition.

Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS)
Recognising Skills, Qualifications and Occupational Competence
The Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) is an industry-recognised identification and competence card scheme for individuals working in the UK electrotechnical sector.
ECS cards help demonstrate an individual's qualifications, occupation, competence and relevant health and safety awareness.
The scheme supports professional recognition across electrical installation, building services and related electrotechnical occupations.
At College of London, our training and assessment programmes aim to help learners develop the qualifications and competence relevant to industry certification requirements.
ECS card eligibility and applications are subject to the scheme's requirements.
